Default Back after a few years

Hi All,

Its been a few years since I've been on the forum. Several years ago I owned a 65, but it was quite the project and I realized I was better off getting rid of it.

I'm happy to say that I have returned following my recent acquisition of a 66 coupe. Its a very clean and straight car equipped with a 200 and a C4. As far as I can tell it's lived in a garage at night. I wasn't actually looking for a car (I'm ALMOST done with my Master's Degree), but my brother heard about it before it really hit the 'sale block'. So I decided just to stop by and see what it was all about. Needless to say the previous owner and I really hit it off and ended up talking cars and swapping stories for over an hour. In the end he really wanted the car to go somewhere it would be taken care of. He even turned his neighbor down at asking price because it would be going to his 16 year old daughter. Come to find out he has a second garage with a brand new Shelby and his son's 69 Mach 1 428 car.

I'm not sure if the forum is as active as it used to be, but hopefully you guys can help me out here and there, and I can throw some info your way from time to time.

I took my girlfriend for a cruise the day I brought it home before putting it up for the winter. We snapped this shot on our cruise. Couldn't ask for a better dream story.

Scott

So I've been thinking about removing the pin stripe. Some thing about it bothers me. Maybe its because my brain is screaming "Its a 68!". But, I think it draw away from the natural body lines of the car.

Thoughts?

I agree, I think the pinstripes just look wrong on the 65/66. Good luck with the "new" car!
