Question Front Coil Spring Perch / Saddle Insulator

My Mustang recently developed a squeeking front end. Everything under the front was new about 3 years ago. It has about 5k miles on it. Using a stethoscope, I noticed that the sound appears to be coming from the front right spring. The insulator between the spring and the perch or saddle has fallen apart and is only halfway doing its job. I have looked online and can not find anthing to replace it. I did find completely new perches, but I don't want the whole part. I have NOS Ford ones that do not have much use on them. What can I use that will be durable enough to hold up as a replacement?

Are you talking about the rubber piece that sits on the perch which is sandwiched by the spring? any pics.? If so, cant you buy a cheap perch from a retail like mustangplus ( i think i bought 1 for like $15) and just take of the rubber piece off and slap it on your original perch?

Yeah, Glazier/Nolan has them, p/n G05116. It's a top-quality bushing that presses into the saddle.

Sorry guys I should have been a bit more clear. It is the little pads that are on the perch between it and the spring. I think I found a source for some new pads. At some point I am going to switch to Opentracker perches.

Funny thing about those pads. Originally, the cars didn't have them. Prob'ly why you're having trouble finding them. Coupla pieces of inner tube would do the job, but I don't think they are your squeak.

just on a note. 99% of all early mustang squeaking is upper control arm bushings ... don't forget to check on them (grease!)

Good point. They are only 2 or so years old and have 5k miles on them. There was ample grease then. Maybe they need more now.

I had no idea that they never had the pads originally.

I tried a piece of hose cut in half and it didn't last any time at all before coming apart.
