t5 bellhousing boot and shifter boot
Hello all, I am wondering how many people on here are using the boot cover on there t5 bellhousing, and are also using the dust boot cover on there shifter as well? Just wondering how important these peices are, thank you.
There is no boot available when using stock release lever in a T5 bell (which has a large hole for a cable shifter). There used to be, but Ford discontinued it.
The stock 64-73 shifter boots work perfectly with the T5. You can also get the small boot that goes on top of the stock shifter.
On 69-73 cars, use the 69 boot.

So, is the shifter boot good enough in the car, or should i purchase the dust boot for the shifter as well? My friend told me not to worry about the bellhousing boot, but not sure what the chances will be that crap will get in the bellhousing without it. Thanks.
