Bingo, after searching through all sorts of websites, I decided to use the factory z-bar even if I had to ditch the long-tube header idea. But, now I'm using the z-bar and have tri-y's with no problems at all. I'm not sure why everyone seems to be so hung up on cable clutches.

Roka-88, did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue.

I have the cable adjusted as far out to were the clutch fully disengages when fully pressed. but as soon as I left off the floor like 1/4" it starts engaging. Very easy to stall the car.
