Default white smoke?

driving around town yesterday I noticed white smoke when I would come up to a stop sign/redlight. Once I came to a stop some white smoke would pass me. coming from the exhaust. couldnt see any as I was driving but would constantly see it at a stop.

Yeah, Arrow has a good observation, what is the local weather, temp, humidity? (what you see could be normal) and is it only happening for a period after initial start. If not, most likely its valve seal leakage - you need to pull you plugs and look for signs of oil fouling.
If its a AT car, it could be a bad modulator diaphragm but my experience with these iis the smoke just keeps on coming, especially at idle.

Well if it is white it is definitely water as jlg said, if only at start up it means condensation in exhuast pipe which is normal. Now when the smoke becomes more of a blueish color then we have oil getting burnt. If at initial startup you have blueish smoke and then stops then like said above a valve seal is leaking. Like said above about the C4, remove the rubber vacuum line at tranny and check for oil leakage from the modulator. Now if you experience constant white smoke, water/antifreeze is getting into the chambers (head gasket etc)

Keep us posted

I said it before and I will say it again, what does it smell like? If it doesn't smell like anything except exhaust then it's condensation, waffles or syrupy sweet, head gasket. Smells like a lawn boy, oil. I really cannot tell the difference in blue and white smoke sometimes so I go with smell.

Cup your hands over it when it's doing it. Can help smell it easier.
