Default Which sparkplugs for MSD system

Hello

I think it might be bout time for some new plugs. I have a 302 with cast iron heads and the full MSD system with the A6 box.

Does anyone have any idea which plug and gap would best tolerate this setup?

Thanks

i wouldn't change the sparkers because there's an MSD box in there. Use what is recommended for your engine (head compression heat range) and just open the gap. I usally use 1mm (0.04") with MSD boxes so I can run it a bit leaner.

The plugs are 3+ years daily driven im wondering if they might be partly consumed maybe very low end accel and some infrequent misses might clear up after a change...probably could stand new wires too (MSD 8.5mm 8+ years old)

I would gather the MSD system puts extra wear on the plugs as they fire 3x as often but who knows how much wear spark jumps alone contributes to plug wear...

Thanks

For a DD, plugs can last a long time. Depending on the type of plug, go by the mileage and heat cycles, not by how they look. Today's fuel is good enough that it's really tough to read the plugs accuratly. They can look just fine, but not be performing as well as they could.

I use standard copper core Autolites in everything. They're cheap, reliable, durable, and easy to come by.
