good point^
I was just suggesting where I got mine, didn't think to suggest those. Also I should point out that I was in luck that a '69 4 barrel intake was added to my engine when it was rebuilt by the previous owner, so with '70s engines I think a 2 barrel will, unfortunately, be more common than a 4 barrel.

There are more differences between a Cleveland and a Windsor than just the factory that made them. Do some research and you'll see they are different.

EFI is the way to go I think, my plan has been to install a holly fuel injection system and operate the system from a laptop. well I appreciate all the help, I'm ready to go out and start looking for that 351 and see what I need to do to fit it in. wish me luck!

alright I'll look into the differences, I know that there was a difference in the headers that were installed to the block. The most important thing to me has been finding a 351 to work with, live and learn ya know? :-)

yes i considered the 302 5.0 but I would very much like to throw a 351 5.8, kind of a challenge you know?

Definitely, could be fun too, and unique. if you change your mind a donor fox body stang would have basically every part you would need to swap it into your 66.

Which tranny are you going to use? need something beefy for that 351.

well an auto trans is what's important, and like mentioned earlier I'd like an overdrive gear, so a 4-speed. not sure whats best in terms of ford transmissions though, I'd done a little research and found that alot of people are using the C4 transmission, not sure of the specs on that one and haven't done a whole lot of looking around, any suggestions?

The 351w was used in ford trucks tell 97 when they changed the body and went mod motor. For a trans look in to a aod or aode swap both can be one just takes time and money.

oh ya that's a great resource, I wasn't aware that there were builds specifically for swapping in an overdrive. I'll look into that.
