Default clutch rod problems

Ok i have a 1967 mustang 3 speed and i am having issues with the clutrod sliding off of the fork. My first question is: Does the rod go on the outside part of the fork where it is like a U shape or does it fo in the spot just in on the fork where there is a hole. I push the pedel and the rod slides off the outter edge of the fork so any help would be appreciated.

i am not exactly sure what you are saying but in the fork there's a dimple (circular), that's where the big pushing pin goes in

There should also be a spring between the z-bar and the clutch release lever.

Well at the end of the fork there is a cut out where the pin was placed then there is a drilled hole right beside it

The spring hooks through the cut out and pokes through the hole from the back.

I'll just bet 2+2 has a picture, wait for him to respond.
