It's a sad day when Japanese tires are the best but it's a fact of live in the new millennium.
I run the Yokohamas in the warm weather and couldn't be happier with the results.

Summer tires.
Thats not a bad idea. I may look at some of the summer tires and think about it a little, but I really think I want an all season tire. I also don't want a funky tread pattern, I want clean simple looking tread pattern and probably a directional tire.

I do drive my car some in the winter and have been caught in the rain a few times. I really don't want a tire than is terrible in the rain. Thats also why when I rewired the car last month, I upgraded to 2 speed wiper motor.

These BFG Advantage TA are H speed rated and all season and appear to be available.

Here is a Yokohama YK520 that looks pretty good. It is H speed rated and traction A temp A too.

Discount Tire has these in stock, unlike the other tires I have been looking at.

I'm kinda surprised this thread didn't spark more interest from others with 15 inch wheels.

i guess most people with mustangs and 15" wheels use white letter tyres (looks > performance). for me it was too expensive to get white letter tyres to ireland (now i found a place in UK who sell them). so i just bought somethign that performs ok in all weather conditions as I drive it all year

Your probably right about that.

I decided to go with the 215 60 15 Yokohama YK520 from Discount Tire. They didn't have them in stock, but said they will have them in a day or two. They are cheaper from discount tire direct.

I feel they are a safe bet, since I read on some forums that quite a few people with older Porsche, BMW, Audi etc seem to like them.

I don't think any of white letter tires from any manufacturer is much of a performance tire. Maybe there is one, but I haven't seen it.

I had the YK420's on my wifes old BMW 328i and the YK520's on her current 325i. They seem like pretty good tires. Traction in both sun and rain was pretty good. As a fellow Texas, we didnt have the opportunity to take it out much in the snow. My wife drives pretty aggresivly and they have held up well.

Good choice. I have those on the 14" Styled Steel wheels on my car and they have been a great all around tire in all aspect IMO. You will get good tread-life out of them as well as long as you don't lead foot it.
