Default Door post?

I've found all the parts I need to repair my newly purchased 1965 Mustang except the door post. It's the section of the door jam that the door pin screwes into. It's dented and needs to ne replaced. Is there a proper name for this body section that I should use to look up the part? Thanks.

Phil

I have no idea where you can find that part. You might need to take it to a body shop to have straightened.

I think you're right, either a body shop or maybe I can cut the peice out of another car and do some welding.

Thanks.

Yeah, if you have the welder and the skills, that is exactly what I would do. But you may be hard pressed to find another car with that same configuration, so may have to get inventive.

That's why it's called a project car
