Default First Project - Ford Mustang 1972

”It's been my lifetime dream to own a classic Ford Mustang". I found this Ford Mustang 1972, V8 302 for sale $3,000.00. What do you think? Good deal, bad deal.

It's my first project vehicle and I don't want to start something I can't end. Are there enough aftermarket parts for this model? Any ideas?

Deal, no deal. That's up to you, I would pay $3000 for it. That's a big mustang, looks good, What are you plans.

Depending on how the rust was I'd jump all over that car for $3000.

If it runs and drives and not have huge rust problems like the floor pan or cowl vent then its worth 3k.One thing i see i don't like is the rear wheels look sunk in the body.I hope its just the picture if its not then the rear end has been changed to one too short or shortened for wider wheels.Normally the back wheels should stick out just as far as the fronts do.The aftermarket for it is a good size and slowly growing most parts can be found at http://www.ohiomustang.com/ some special stuff like led tail lights or billet parts i know a few sites also.

It looks good for $3k. It looks pretty solid. How's the paint? Any paint bubbles?
Andrewmp6 pointed out a good note with the rear end. Hopefully it's just the picture.

It's hard to go wrong with a running/driving classic for $3k. But, to make sure you don't get into too much of a project, check for rust in all the usual places.

Also wanted to point out those pics are 1-2 years old. So hopefully nothing's gotten worse since then.

I like it alot. I think 3 grand is a good deal. Car looks solid from what I can see. Throw a set of headers on it and a nice exhaust and leave the sleeper look and I'll bet you'll surprise the hell out of some people.
