Default 67 - 68 with 460

67 - 68 with 460,...how hard is it to change the plugs, I keep getting conflicting reviews.

Some say its tuff while others say you have to lift the motor.

its not about changing the plugs, its about keeping the car on the road and what needs to be put into suspension and handling to make the application work.

Exactly, that car is going to be super nose heavy. Good luck taking turns with that car. It'll want to keep going straight on you.

Not any heavier than a 390 or 427. You'll just have to put 428 GT stuff in the front end. Changing plugs in a big block mustang can be difficult. My 69 428, I cut two holes in the iner fender, One in front and one behind the spring tower, made it pretty easy.

This would be a good place to ask. Someone recommended it to me when i was going to put a 460 in my 67. I think it even says you have to pull the engine for a 390 but you dont. Its been over 5 years but im pretty sure i changed all the plugs and was not that bad.

Only about 100 +- diff from the 390, factor in aftermarket heads and moving the battery to the trunk and you're about the same as a factory stock 390.

Why don't you ever read posts about the shortcomings of the factory decision in regards to the 390? Use upgraded front suspension parts over the original 390 parts and you've now got the same weight that will actually handle better.

Enough of the rant,...I was asking for firsthand info on the plugs.

A FE engine weighs about 20 lbs less then a 429.

I am having a problem fitting my 429 in my 68 with the motor mounts I currently have. Can you please tell me which mounts you are using so I can get this bad boy bolted in.
