Over Heating
Has any member here have a issue with your car over heating after using a new aftermarket fan blade? When I was working on my engine bay I switched to a Flex-a-Lite fan blade and now it seems I have over heating problems.
I plan on placing my stock fan blade back on, but just wanted to know if any other members had this problem?
Thanks.

yes I think other members have had issue just like yours with flex fans...the general populous (I think) believes flex fans are a bad idea..I know I do and not just for one reason.
They dont cool so great in some cases
they tend to be noisy
I have seen them explode at high rpm.

Ive run flex fans on multiple Ford motors small and big with no problems (they had shrouds). Getting it closer to the radiator with a bigger spacer could fix the problem. Ive been told they could explode thus causing a lot of damage but if your not racing should be fine as most are rated to 10,000 RPMs. Try a larger diameter fan? Do you have a shroud, those make a big difference.
