Default 1970 Power Brake Conversion

I have a 1970 Mustang with manual drum brakes. I am getting ready to do a complete brake job and want to convert to power brakes. I will leave the drums up front for now, but will convert later to disc. My question is do I need to change my pedals to accommodate the booster or will my pedals work.
Thank you for any advise.

Simply put, To install a booster with proper, correct leverage, you will need to change to a new Factory Power brake pedal.

To install a "Will work" booster no pedal change. The "will work boosters will have parts-bolts-fittings-etc to make work on the non power pedal.

So, when buying a booster, if your supplier states no pedal change needed, it will be the "will work" variety.

Rebuilt and reproduction 70 boosters are available, but the 70 power brake pedal is not. I suppose, if you can't find one, you could move or replace the connecting pin on the pedal to the correct location, which is about (don't quote me) 1/2" higher on the pedal than 67-69.

Put me down as NOT a fan of "will work" boosters.
