Remember you can easily swap axles and get whatever bolt pattern you want. As far as brakes go, there's only 2 different size plates where they bolt up to the axle tube so that should not be an issue either. I'd be more worried about cutting down the tubes. I believe the mustang is a 52" and the F150 is north of 60" in the width dept.
