Without A Picture - Value This Car
How does that sound?
What are better free online sites than Craigslist? I've had my 07 on there for ever with no good hits.
Nobody sets the auto search app on there smartphone to search craigslist for an 07, but I know many people that search for Fastback every 4-6 hours, so you really cannot compare the two.
I would check Ebay and look at the completed auctions for values, a few K codes have been on there several times over and over without hitting the reserve, and they are worth considerably more than an A code to most folks. I think for 29K you had better build a nice photobucket page with some serious shots of the underside, thats the money shot IMHO.

You're a bit confused here. A 'K' in the date code for the build is October. A 'K' in the fifth digit of the VIN is has mucho significance to the price and desirability. A 'K' (October ) car means nothing to the price.
Get some pics up here pronto and we can get closer to a value you can start at when you post your ad.

Yeah, some pictures are going to be needed to really get an idea of the value. A 100% mint condition, all original GT Fastback can go for $25,000-$30,000, but oftentimes "100% mint" isn't the case. Take plenty of pictures of the wheel wells, the floorpans from underneath, and the trunk to really give people the idea that this is a rust free car.
Also, it's only worth that price if it's a true GT. If the car wasn't born a GT and was converted over during someone's restoration, then it won't help and could even tarnish the value of the car. Standard fastbacks and GT clones are worth much less than true GTs. Another thing to consider are the other options available in the car: A GT Fastback with a 4 Speed and an A Code engine is pretty heavily optioned as is, but does it have the Deluxe Pony Interior? Disc or power brakes? Power Steering? How about a bench seat? An 8 Track Player? A Console?
So like I said, if the car is really 100% perfect, then I wouldn't be surprised to see it sell for 29k. Any more than that in this economy? I doubt it, unless it's truly a constant winner at car shows. Take a lot of pictures of places that commonly rust, take a video of the car running, take a video from inside the car while driving, and show that this truly is the car to buy. People aren't just going to consider forking over tens of thousands of dollars for an almost too good to be true description of the vehicle.
And by the way, there are three "codes" of V8 Mustangs from 65 and 66. "C Code" which is the least desirable is the basic V8 with a 2bbl. The "A Code" is a 4bbl engine that was often put in GTs. The "K Code" engine were only put in 1% of Mustangs in 1965 and 1966. "K Code Cars" can sell for over $50,000. Even K Code coupes can bring a ton of money.

I went out to look at it today and he started talking ridiculous numbers and went back and forth so many times it isn't worth posting an add. But for 12K the engine mentioned earlier is what he wants for that.
He also has a 66 Coupe that's in pretty good shape. It has an electrical problem that keeps it from running but that'll be fixed next week and when it is, it'll be ready to drive. Then it just needs a good cleaning and some dash components fixed. He only wants 8K for it

Yeah but after next week it'll be in pretty amazing shape - the same or better than cars I've seen going for 14K, but hey, it's negotiable - we can talk numbers if you want
Just so that you know, Mecum in Indy last month had two 65/66 ragtop T code cars (six cylinders) that went for 9K or less.
Coupes just do not bring any real money unless they have some pedigree in the VIN.
