Default LeMans Stripes

I am just about ready to paint my 67 coupe. I remember seeing a website that had a PDF of stripe dimesions and layouts, but I can't remember where I found it.

I have found a couple sites that have the dimesions of the stripes as far as their distance apart and their thickness, but I am more curious on their location in relation to the car itself.

Can anyone give me any pointers, or maybe steer me to that missing site?

Thanks

That is a bit confusing, if you have the distance apart and the width of the stripe that is all you need. In relation to the car itself, everything is relation to the center line of the car. Use a tape messure to find center and the lay out everything from the center line out.

isn't the stripes dimension changing throughout the car? i don't think it's the same width all over.
I do remember someone had a picture or pdf with dimensions. Will check later

Took me 3 hours to tape out the car, make sure you have plenty of time. Also, something I learned here and not the way I would have thought but paint the stripes first, then go back and add color then clear. I'm still not sure exactly why but it worked out perfectly that way. Definitely a lot less masking that way. Thanks again MF!!!

That's just it- If you look at the diagram, you'll see there is no "the width". Every step of the length of the stripe is tapered to match the car. If you've ever seen these stripes done straight, all one width, they look like crap.

I have layed out these stripes many times. I understand they are tapered but it is still a width dimension even if the dimesion changes down the lenth of the car. My point was that the stripes are layed out in relation to center line when the OP aid "I am more curious on their location in relation to the car itself."
