Default Ignitor iii rev limiter

Does anybody have any experience with the ignitor iii's rev limiter? I've had the ignitor iii for a year or so but never set the limiter. Today I decided to have some fun on a back road and was shifting around 5k. I think the default for the I3 is supposed to be 4,500 so I'm thinking it is not working.

I didn't bypass the pink wire when I set up the I3 but it seemed to work fine. I know Kalli has said he ran an ignitor (not sure which one) without bypassing the pink wire and had no problems. Could this be affecting my rev limiter? If so, does anybody know how to bypass it on a '70? I just had the steering column apart to replace the turn signal switch but not sure how to bypass the pink wire.

No experience with it either. When I got my first rev limiter I set it to 2000 and revved the engine in neutral. This will tell you in a safe way if it's working.
