Question What is this??

Restoring '67 convertible. Removed rear end. Cleaning underside. Underneath, on driver's side, behind rear seat area was a rubber tube sticking out of a hole. I unbolted the clip holding it and it just fell out. Looking into the hole, I can't see anything that it could attach to. Tube is about 10" long, looks like some sort of drain tube as the clip holds it pointed straight down toward the ground.

If it's the same side as where the filler neck is, it's probably a vent tube for the fuel tank. My guess is the connetion point broke/rotted.

That would be the vent tube that should be attached to the rear end where the brake line attaches to the housing.
