My mechanic is from mexico. He only works on fords becuase in mexico he worked at a ford factory for 30 years. I know he does good work becuase he replaced the enigine on my dads 01 explorer for a total of $800. I am hoping he knows old mustangs and the granada disc swap becuase he gets cheap parts. Oh yeah he replaced the engine in our driveway so we could keep an eye on him. just post comments i guess.

 

mm...you kinda contradict yourself, you say he's a good mechanic yet he did the swap in your driveway so you could watch him? Why watch him? That and ...so he did the swap for $800. Doesn't mean he knows squat about motors or that he isn't some genius moonlighting as a car mechanic.

Did you mean to say he's cheap so you hope he's good and you don't really trust him which is why you watched him?

 

i have an excellent mechanic...he has been on shows such as overhaulin and rides. does a lot of award winning show cars. he did a buitiful job swapping my 302 from a I6...charged me $800 and included a lot of custom bending on all the lines.

 

no i trust him very much he put the engine in a year ago and there are no problems. i like to watch him just becuase. he charged 800 including the motor.
