need a new ac system
I just got a full kit from Old Air and I really like it and it was a quality kit. A lot cheaper than the ones on ponyparts. Mine was a full in dash kit as opposed to under dash which cost more and took quite a while to have it installed. Supposedly they all work fine.

Not a bad price for a complete unit...
You can just buy the evaporator if you like...

I don't know much about the company, but they do claim made in USA evaporators...

I forgot where I bought it, but the compressors keep failing after a year or two and I'd like to get an evap unit that's kinda retro looking, but also one that has an extra vent or two to put some air down in the front floor pan area. Here in AZ the interior cools down ok except for the floor pan area
If you don't go ALL new with EVERYTHING, I recommend a full flush for your remaining parts.
I just this weekend put in a Vintage Air system. They are pretty dang slick. The instructions are good, and they work very well. My car is an in dash factory replacement which is a little different than your under dash would be, but install was pretty easy. The hard part was taking all stuff out.
