A friend of mine that knows Fords inside and out lives close to the guy that was selling it. I asked him to go check it out. He told me it was pristine and a steal at that price..

Wondering out loud... If I decide to keep it stock, what would a 289 rebuilt with more horses than a 302 and a working tranny go for currently?

I would like to one day redo the interior to make it camel tan. I think that interior looks good with a red car (think Ferrari).

The palomino or parchment color pony interiors would look nice probably

Drive it, but put installing a split master cylinder at the top of your to-do list unless it's already got one or all you're going to do with the car is show it off to judges who aren't impressed by upgrades.

Note that it also includes a rebuilt 289 and a tranny (not rebuilt, don't know which one it is). Oh, and a cover for it
You got a good buy then.

I am actually a Boise State Broncos fan, but I'm a partial fan of alabama. I do watch Auburn occasionally depending on who they play.

Nice buy.

I'm with these gentlemen, unless you're going into concourse judging, switch to a dual master cylinder asap. It's a piece of pie.

Looks really nice. But as we all know, there is the unseen parts......If those areas are as nice as the seen areas, then you did well. Paying a bit more for a car that is in good condition saves a lot down the road.

Enjoy it! But yes, I agree, I'd upgrade the brakes/suspension first.
