Atta boy. Stand up to your beliefs. I personally think if you have to add WW, then you have other issues that need to be addressed regarding cooling issues to keep the engine within limits, but the WW will not hurt your engine, and I have noticed a difference after I put it in. Botom line is that I believe it is not snake oil, and that it will help to keep your heat down. If you don't believe that, then don't use it.

Water wetter will freeze below 30* IIRC. I use it to great effect, but do not store below 45* in the winter...
Yep, that may be true, But, when you mix that little bottle of about a pint of liquid to over two gallons of liquid to include two gallons of anti-freeze do you think that little pint will make a difference regarding the freezing temp of the system on a mustang? The 50-50 mix of anit-freeze and water is good for 34 degrees fareinheight below zero. That little pint of WW has virtually no effect on the freezing protection. Good grief.

Following the directions on the bottles...

*Pure race - distilled water and wetter water mix (8oz for every gal of water I believe)

*For a daily driver you want a 75% water - 25% Antifreeze mix for the spring/summer/fall. Adding wetter water will show a great improvement in the efficency of your cooling system.

*If you keep your 50-50 mix, adding wetter water will not show much of an improvement in your system.

Doing the 75-25 mix you will run a risk of freeze-over if you are in the northern states and see consistant temperatures of -10F. I live in Michigan and had the 75/25 mix in the stang all winter in an enclosed storage shed. (Non heated). Never had a problem. I checked for ice weekly and never found any.

Follow the DIRECTIONS for your APPLICATION and you will see exactly what they advertise on the bottle.

Yeah, but you have to be careful with getting the anti-freeze mixture too low. The water pump relies on the lubrication qualities of the anit-freeze. If you don't believe that, then try running your system without anti-freeze and see how soon your water pump bearing goes south.

I am going to go ahead and put it in there. I dont need the cooling really but its cheap and if it helps corrosion what the heck

I'm pulling my 2 core/4 blade set-up out this weekend for installing a new 4 core/5 blade set-up with a shroud too.. Where do you get this Water Wetter stuff at? Thanks for all the tips. Sounds like it might be good for out here in the desert....

Just go into any parts place like Auto Zone and it will probably be on the counter. If not, then it will be with all the other additives on the shelf.

I road race superbikes and you can't run antifreeze on the track. in a crash, the first fluid that is spilled is antifreeze. in a race with out ww in my rad my bike runs 230 to 240 with ww it runs 190 to 200. thats with water and ww only. i haven't tryed it with antifreeze yet.
