been having issues with my suspension and to make a long story short i found out my springs on my 66 fastback didnt line up with stop tab on my open tracker roller spring perches.i have them off the car and even if i cut some spring off it still doesn't look like it will line up with tab. i'm lost

 

The top of the spring is flat so you should just be able to rotate until it seats against stop. Is it sitting in the saddle at least? Do you have an insulator installed on the top of the spring?
