whats involved in installing a factory type center console in a mustang that never came with one, i have a 70.

 

If you get the correct console for your shifter type, maybe an hour. It drops over the shifter, and screws to the floor. Don't drill the screw holes, punch them with an awl. Drilling can wreck the carpet, and a punched hole grips the screw better.

 

I'm not sure about the '70 model year but in the 65-68 there were differences depending on whether or not your car came with AC.

 

mine has factory AC, good thing being here in arizona.
