We have 3 assigned, but JamesW is the only one we see. I sent a message to an admin asking for other mods since the other 2 don't see to watch here.

Granted it is a nice looking car, but with it being a 100 pointer one would think a Marti report would be included.

True, but they were optional, even on the Grandé. Heck, the 71-73 mach1 didn't even come with a mach1 interior, you had to pay extra for that.

The Grandé included special exterior stripes, full wheel covers, rocker panel mouldings, color keyed "racing mirrors", vinyl top, high-back bucket seats with Lambent cloth inserts, deluxe instrument panel, woodgrain appliqués on the center dash, molded door panels with woodgrain accents, electric clock, rear ashtray, bright pedal trim and courtesy lamps. The 69-70 Grandé (and possibly the 71-3) included an extra 55 pounds of the sprayed-on soundproofing in the doors and quarters, and special rear spring eyes for a smoother ride. The 69 even had the woodgrain accents on the rear seat quarter trim panels. Instead of the plain cloth, the 70 Grandé typically had houndstooth cloth, and you could even order the vinyl top to match. The 70 Grandé rocker mouldings had black vinyl inserts, unique to the 70 Grandé. The 71-73 Grandé typically had Grandé wheelcovers, which came only on the Grandé. The 70 Grandé had a black texture-painted taillight panel with bright metal accents, and the 71-73 Grandé had a black textured metal taillight panel overlay with bright metal accents.

For years I thought the Grandé included the 351 2V engine, since they all seemed to have them, but in fact any engine could be included, and any transmission. I have since seen a 351 with 3-speed manual, and a 250 with 3-speed manual. You'd think a luxury Mustang would include an auto trans, but apparently not. Same thing for power brakes, disc brakes, and power steering. Although often seen on the Grandé, not included. You could even get a big-block engine in the 69-71 Grandé, but ram air was not available, the Grandé had a flat hood only.

Just a note: If I were moderating this forum, I'd edit the sales info from the OP,and leave the thread. It's become an interesting pro/con discussion of the Grandé, which really a rare and not widely known version of the Mustang. Everybody talks about the GT and mach1, but the Grandé could do both luxury and performance.

The grande was the luxury of a thunderbird but not as slow as the same years thunderbirds.I know power windows are rare on a early mustang i seen most in a grande vs the rest of the trim levels.I do give it to ford the options list on the 71-73 cars was long so you could order a car just how you wanted it not like today.

The complete rear glass with wiring and switches would be worth a serious piece of change. I have only seen three, total, ever, and I have at times worked on these cars for a living.

i should have kept the window then :P i stripped the car of its disc brakes, gauges, 351c/fmw then traded the rest of the shell for a 1971 base 302/c4 coupe with 76k original miles then i sold the coupe for 2k
