Nope- 71-72 mach1 had a color-keyed vinyl front bumper with painted mouldings. And it's a total PITA to find a decent one these days.

With the deluxe door panels I believe it should have a full floor console but I'm speculating on that as it makes sense to me they would go together.
I agree, the switch plate must go, and it would be easy. The tach and shift light are totally bogus. The shifter and shift boot are also totally bogus. It's a Super Shifter, and much hackage of the floor has been done to install it. Weird, because a Hurst Competition Plus was factory equipment on the 71 4-speed. The 71 boot is not available, but the 69-70 fits perfectly. The deluxe interior did not include the console, but usually people bought them together.

I was there when this look was popular and I hated it then. No evidence of extended shackles, so it must be air shocks or coilovers. Either is a disaster for handling and the structural safety of the crossmember.

Thanks guys for the clarifications on the chrome vs body color & urethane. I thought only 72's had the to possibilities. Less confusing on my 73, just one option!

The 71 and 72 are twins but for tiny things like the seat belt light on the passenger side of the dash.

They have all the old factory build records for Mustang VINs back to 1967.
With the deluxe report, you can see what options and configuration your car was built with and production numbers built with those options to see how rare the car really is.

It has a price guide for old cars to give you an idea of what your car may be worth with it's options. I think the numbers are inflated, compared to what you could actually sell it for, but it gives you an idea of what cars with various options are comparitivly worth.

Default SOLD!

SOLD... Just bought another... VIN 1F05HI02938 for $3,000. Been sitting in a garage since 1984 @ 23,000 miles. Why do people do what they do? But I'm glad they do! All stock, original rims/centers in the (little) trunk. Built just like the one I had in high-school... Except it's a different color. Needs to be re-painted anyway.

Default Dual-exhaust?

My VIN shows to be an H 351 2v V8, but appears to have the cut-outs in the rear-panel for duals. Possible?

A Mach1 could also be ordered with a 351-2v or 302 which would have a single pipe.

So… ALL 1971 Mach-1’s had dual exhausts?

My apologies... I didn't take photos. It went directly to the shop for dismantling. But I will make a visit in the next weeks and will take photos then.
