If you are talking about how to get the nut all the way down, then you need to use a pair of vice grips on the shaft with a rag between the teeth of the vice grips to be able to get the nut tight. Just simple logic.

That will probably work. Just get a tool that will keep the shaft from turning while you are tightening down the shock nuts.

I used my mighty all powerful hand to hold my shocks and a rachet to tighten the nut down. Worked like a charm.

The almighty hand works ok when you are bolting them into the lower mount....its the upper mount that's tricky when working solo.

Impact socket always works for me

I have an air impact gun, man those things are nice. I have seen a LArge stand up compressor at lowes for like 400. Thats cheap for a big one, but you can buy a little portable one for cheaper.

Yeah all i have is a screwdriver set and two 200 piece ratchets sets. They get most of the jobs done. I dont have any floor jacks or jack stands yet. I will buy those when im finished with the engine work and move onto suspension i need leaf springs!
