no you do not need a new flywheel. Keep the 351 flywheel. If it is a 69 then you will need the similar year flywheel. For small blocks are externally balanced so the balancing for the engine is completed with the flywheel

Do a search on this forum and you will find everything you need. Here is a list without the details

Hydraulic or cable clutch set up
new trans cross member
you will need to shorten the driveshaft approx. 3/4"
smaller starter from the same year as the T5
you will also need a pedal assembly if the car is an automatic
you will need to trim out a small area in the trans tunnel so the shifter doesnt hit

it is actually a easy task. just gotta round up the parts.

It depends on what size flywheel you have 164 tooth or 157...They require different sized bellhousings..The T-5 bellhousing uses a 157 tooth flywheel..Most 351s came with a 164 so you will need to check and see what you have..The easiest way to do it in my opinion is to use the T-5 bellhousing and modify it to use the stock mustang clutch linkage...I helped my brother do this swap on his 67 and it went in very easily..We didn't have to shorten the driveshaft or buy anything new other than a crossmember and shifter for the trans since he wanted to get an original looking shifter..Here is a great article from fordmuscle.com that walks you through the swap..

I didn't use either a hydraulic or cable set-up, stock z-bar works. I also didn't have to shorten my driveshaft at all. I also used the stock starter.

The driveshaft thing may be a variable, but you don't need a new starter or exotic clutch actuation.

Ok so I have the Trans out, the engine has been bored .30 over, with everything I have done I estimate I may be getting 280 to 300 HP, Estimate. am I going to have to do anything to the Trans or can a 91 T5 take that much, i'm not sure how much ft lbs are coming off the engine.

dude your fine. i am throwing way more than that at mine.

The tires you choose will make a difference though. as long as you dont run slicks your totally fine.
