A standard Marti report with all the door tag info is $15. A replacment door tag is $25. I just looked. so for $40 you can stop wondering and get all the info you need.

Only if you have the info already! If you just have the VIN, Marti wont give you any info you dont already have. At least thats how I understood the Marti report.

Not true. I just looked at their web site and they specify that you get the door plate info with their standard report.

I have ordered standard reports and data plates from them before. Even the standard report gives you all kinds of information. Look at their site a decide which report you would like. The expensive one gives you everything down to how many were produced with your color combination and option package. Nice to know but not worth the money, I don't think. No need to worry, you will get everything you need from them. It will be money well spent.

Since it is an I6 car the main way you can tell if its early or late is by the tie rods. The early model I6 cars in 67 still had the smaller 66 I6 front suspension. The later models all had the same V8 front suspension with I6 4 lug brakes. Also the late model had a colapsable steering colume and the early did not.

Lost? IIRC, Ford actually destroyed that info in 1979, to save on storage.

I just received the report and you were right my friend! It gave me the door tag info with just the Vin number.

This car was ugly when it was new! lol Just my opinion....

Very cool. I'm glad you got what you wanted. Did you get a data plate?
