How do I get the letters off my deck lid?

I'm not sure if the letters are stuck on or have a post and lock nut.

Should have about 2-3 posts per letter. You will most likely scratch the paint getting them off, I used a small screwdriver and pried the off. I'm sure a scraper would work too


EDIT: Here is what the fenders would look like with no letters.

Im ok with scratching the paint as I am trying to prep for primer! I will eventually weld up the holes anyway.

i wasnt sure if there were nuts behind them. Thanks for the info...

Now How do I remove the rear bumper...I cant quite get at the bolts, is there a trick?



Is the 67-8 rear bumper supposed to be straight or slightly curved?

There are 4 bolts in the trunk near the tail light housings.
