Ford 302 Shakes mildly at idle

What kind of tachometer was it?

It was a harbor freight tachometer, about $40. I had it set for 8 cylinders when I tried on my Mustang and 4 when I tried on the Golf.
I will try to post a video tomorrow of the shaking. It's not a very violent shake but I'm pretty sure this engine should run smooth.

Very nice. I'd like to do that some day. But for now I just want to get this engine running properly. That sounds like another little project for the future. Good job MustangFTW

Yeah the only problem is that I have the older style dash. I didn't even realize it earlier.
