Default 67 Wiper Switch

While doing some research on possible mods in order to get a wiper delay switch, I came across two options. The first is to use the switch for an econoline van http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=940357

Has anyone used this switch in a 67 Mustang?

The other option is to use a switch from a GM vehicle. I noticed several of their cars from the 70s and 80s have dash mounted slide switches that may work. Has anyone tried using one?

Doesn't anyone have an opinion? I'd be willing to try, but I don't want to burn up/short out anything. Some advice would be appreciated.

I experimented with the Econoline switches when I started developing my delay system. I found that the Econoline switch has a longer slide then the stock switch, so some rework of the dash would be necessary. Then you would have to deal with the wiring from the 67 switch connector to the Econoline. These two things ruled out the Econoline conversion for me.

I have since come out with this :http://www.rccinnovations.com/index....ang-all#delays and it works without changing any of the original parts. If you can unplug and replug, run a wire and mount a switch you can install my kit.

What makes this delay system diferent from the $15 kits you can buy from ebay? $90 seems like a lot of money if I'm still using a 40+ year old switch.

The rotary switches for the 67 Camaro, et al switches in a ground connection instead of switchig in +12 volts. Seems a bit dicey to use one of these. I looked into getting a switch rebuilt a few years ago and got quotes in excess of $100. I guess that's what happens when reproduction switches aren't available.

I have not seen the $15 kit so I have no idea what it consists of. My kit works with or without the factory switch and it plugs into the existing wiring using existing factory plugs. In addition to being easy to install it was designed to be hidden. If you don't want to use the supplied turn signal stalk switch you can easily use your own mounted anywhere you like.

I've looked at the Econoline and they're a slide switch instead of a lever action and I'd like to keep the lever action.
