Anyone know how to remove the time adjust stem so that I can remove the lens? I imagine its the same for all clocks, round or rectangle.

Does it just twist off?

On the round clocks I'm pretty sure the **** and the little "timer pointer" come off with the face, when you push in it engages the gears inside the clock to change the time.

I have no idea on square.

Hmmm....

Are you saying on the round face, you push the **** in to engage the gears to change the time?

Mine is just the opposite in that you pull the **** and hold to change the time...

Maybe you are right, its been a few months since I took it apart.

This may not help much but there is a link to the kit I used to convert mine to digital. http://www.dakotadigital.com/PDF/CLK-69M.PDF

It steps through disassemble of the round clock, I didn't see a specific replacement for a square clock for a '69.
