Default Loose Steering Wheel

1966 Mustang. The steering wheel is loose. It still steers okay, but it's loose on the column. Also, when you turn the wheel, the turn signals canceler clicks even when the turn signals aren't on. An exploded view of the column would be nice, but what could it be?

Betcha $1 that somebody left out the bearing preload spring, and maybe even the centering cone or the bearing.
