Default Steering wheel removal

I cannot get the four allen bolts out of this adapter. They seem to just spin in place, now I cannot tighten them.
Whats the trick?
This is a releasable steering wheel adapter, I need to get to the blinker stuff.

I am not familiar with that adapter or how it attaches, but I am going to step out a little and say that if the bolts neither tighten or loosen, they are probably stripped out.

Try pulling the plate upward, keeping upward pressure on the bolts (moving from bolt to bolt til you get some slack in the top plate) with a screwdriver as you are turning the bolts out.

I am thinking the holes that the bolts thread into are stripped, once you get them out you can tap oversize and go with bigger bolts.

I dont think they are stripped only because they were tight when I started undoing them. I didnt use any extra human strength so I cant see them being stripped. However, you never know. I will try your trick and see what happens!

The photo isn't great, but I don't see how removing those screws has anything to do with removing the hub.

Yea, I think you are right, the center shaft bolt should free the hub,,,

But where to bolt on the hub puller?

I guess the bolts could have a nut on the back, that explains a lot, but remember, just because YOU didn't strip a bolt out, doesn't mean they aren't stripped.... I have drilled out more stripped and broken bolts than I care to mention here in Little Rock..... and I didn't break or strip ANY of them.

Understood.

There is no center bolt at this point. If you look carefully the adapter for the release wheel is attached to the "main" hub thus sitting on top of the main bolt.

Could be a problem. I know the 67 Shelby steering wheel had no provision for removal. Really. You can bet I was sweating it out removing one of those for repair a few years ago. A perfect original, such as it was, is worth a couple grand.
