best battery?
If you disconnect the battery, I've seen them start the car after a year of storage, no battery tender needed.
It's the electrical parasites that discharge the battery. The radio is ALWAYS
ON weather you turn it off by switch or not. It has to be on to remember the pre-sets. CD changer is probably always on too. A clock is always on. These are enough to discharge the batt in a few months.
The newer cars have computers that are always on to remember your optimum drivability for air/fuel ratios and for OBD2 codes.

" EasyclicK system " is the way to go : We hade the same problem with 70 Mach 1 and 67 Eleanor Conv that we have . if you let the cars park to longh with out start them expecialy the Mach 1 ( 351 C 4V High compression ) after 2 try the battery will go kaput . We came back about a month or so from our trip to CA where we found a New type of battery connector the Name " EasyclicK system " it works wonder .We never hade any more problem the Mach 1 it starts right up .When we don`t use our cars we disconect our batterys and i can`t told you how easy it`s Plus the connectors they give a very clean look to the battery . Look at the video and pass this on if you like it .
I love it !! I don`t need to have anyone reconect my battery i do it my self now
