Choke hot wire

Default Choke hot wire

Where does the hot wire on the choke need to be hooked to? I hooked it to the regulater but its hot all the time and it ran my battery down.

It needs to be hooked to a switched ignition source such as the one on the ignition switch itself.

Please dont hook it to the + on the coil.

yep ignition switch. and be sure to put in a fuse.

If I'm not mistaken there's a switched hot lead off the alternator....check the manual. If not you should be able to run one out of the fuse panel but that would be a little more work.
