Default IFS brake question

Does anyone know why all the manufactures of IFS kits use Wilwood brakes? I am planning on putting in a Mustang II IFS and don't want Wilwood brakes; I'd rather have Baer Brakes.

Does anyone know what spindles they are using? are they ford type or chevy?

You don't have to buy brakes with any Mustang II style suspension. What you should do is call Baer and see if they offer a kit to work with TCI, Rod and Custom, Heidts, or whatever brand IFS you plan on using.

I would assume these companies offer Wilwood brakes because they are tried and true.

Thanks NoReins! I love your build thread and will be starting one soon for my 67 convertible. I didn't realize that you were using the R&C setup on your build until I went back for a second look. Your build/ and all the posts are really going to help me with mine.

Me and my friend (older guy who's like a second father to me) just got our 67 Eleanor build back from being stuck in a body shop for over two years. We used the mustang to fear kit and I will have to say that though it looks great, we believe we could have done a better job than the body shop did putting it together. We are now in the stage of putting all the goodies back on the car.

Thanks again!
