suspension question
I want to maintain my stock ride height for the most part, but want my suspension to be more rigid; the suspension on my 65 is original and every time I hit a bump I feel like I'm riding in a Cadillac; the rear tires will rub on the inner fender lip depending on what kind of bump I hit; so far I have chewed up 2 tires because of this; what do you guys suggest? like I said I don't necessary want to lower and run into more issues; I just want a stiffer suspension
5 leaf rear springs, roll fenders, and a front suspension kit.

5-leafs will make it ride like a pickup truck- Even the BOSS 429 had 4-leaf springs. 4-leaf GT springs will be plenty, backed up by Kayaba GR2 or Gas-A-Just shocks.
On the front, use GT springs and matching shocks, and an export brace, and if you want it to handle well, add a 1" front sway bar and do this-

Yes, just sounds like your original leafs are shot. New leafs as 2+2 suggested, I'd go no stiffer than 4 1/2 leafs and I like the sport (not harsh) ride of the GR2's. It doesn't look like the tires are too wide as you would normally see with complaints of rubbing, usually due to improper backspace on wheels or tire profile chosen. I think fresh springs will fix you up. Standard eye springs will probably put you at stock ht., which is riding 1"-2"+ above the tire, mideye leafs would put your fender just above the tire tread ~0-1" and reverse eyes will drop the tires into the wheel wells.
