I was pleasantly surprised with Summit Racing's brand of Turbo Mufflers. I put a whole exhaust system of theirs on my 67 and it sounds quite nice. I have another coming today for my 66.

I guess I'm just a drop in the ocean. I have Flowmaster 40-series on my '66 289-4V. Hooker headers, H-pipe and 2.5" all the way back to slant cut tips. Call me crazy, but I love the sound. That is certainly one thing that I wouldn't change about mine.
