Default regarding flooded carb

Ok guys see if this is legitimately. New eddy carb I have a glass fuel filter, when engine is turned off when hot fuel filter bubbles like its filling up, mechanic said it was probably a hairline crack in the base. Does this sound possible on a new carb

sure its possible.

Fire it up and spray carb cleaner around the entire base of the crab. listen for the idle to change. if there is a leak you'll find it that way.

Fuel can boil without an air leak from a cracked base as well there are other reasons.

might just be your fuekl boiling when hot. I'd shove a phenolic spacer in there after you tried what GJ said
