Where to get a paintable epoxy primer?
I am going to mix in ceramic beads ( as in lizard skin knock off) and I need a paintable epoxy. I tried the local auto store (advancd auto) and they had one but it seemed very runny.
Is this my only choice? Is there any thicker epoxy primers and can I buy at a local place?

MAybe I don't need an epoxy then. Normally the ceramic beads are used with Latex and I don't want to use that as it's water based.
Any ideas on a good paint that I can use which will work for brushing on? Outside of an auto parts store, where locally can you get automotive paint? I assume I should have automotive paint.

SPI Epoxy is paintable. Are you trying to make a bedliner or sound deadener? I admire that you are trying to make your own but by the time you purchase a quality Epoxy you might as well buy something that was made for the intended use.
We used U-Pol Raptor and had good success with it however next time we will be using the bedliner from Southern Polyurathens, Inc. Very high quality product and you can't beat the price for what it is.

Ceramic beads for insulating factor and should remove a little of the tin hollow sound. Are API only sold online?
