The DS on my car hangs out about that far too and worked fine once I got a new slip yoke and bushing for it. that was years ago and its still working fine and I daily drive it.

Rest assured when I get a new DS for it i'll make sure it has less end travel..I'll shoot for .750 to .900

well the new one is close to the same. Maybe a little less. However the issue was the shaft not being balanced/ straight. It is now and its done!

Man i am so happy........................................

kalli

Did you end p with the aluminum shaft? The steel shaft that i had bought was faulty. It was even balanced by a really good shop. Do the same thing I did. It helped me find the problem. (thanks to Gun) put the car up on jack stands via the rear end. Start it and put it in 2nd gear and let it turn the tires. Video it from different angles with light hitting it differently and you may end up seeing a problem.

Im still betting Kalli has a worn TS bushing and SY.

He should get that 3" Al Denny's DS but we've already discussed this as i recall.
