Default Driveshaft question?

Is this distance ok? Or does it need to go in more?

That's too far in if that's where you stand on an uncompressed suspension. I see you don't have the driveshaft connected so if you are asking how far should the yoke be able to go in, then no more than that.

If it's that close with the driveshaft connected, one big bump will drive it into the tailhousing.

You should have about an inch of in and out travel when sitting at ride height. HTH!

I just looked at that pic again. That seems to be fine. I don't know what I was thinking. I guess I thought it was up against a shoulder on the yoke. I need my eyes checked!!!

If the rear suspension is compressed, that is 100% good, if uncompressed, I have to drop the odds to 99% chance of being good.

I think I have about an inch with my T5 and have no problems. I can snap a pic later.

Where it is now is as much as it goes in freely, it can go further in but with a little force and it feels like there is a spring springing it back.

That was about how much it stuck out on my c4. Actually c4 was even further in by 1/4 inch.
