Default spark plug wires too long

hey guys, my spark plug wires that i got from jegs are too long for my 351windsor and they keep burning up because they sit on the headers but i had thermowrap socks around them to help keep the heat away but they keep getting burned. the description said they fit 351w/428 and 429 ci engines but i think thats just because they made them extra long. ill try and post pictures of my engine to show you what im talking about but where do you guys think i should go to get engine specific wires or what kind of wires i should get to help keep my engine looking clean and clutter free??? i have an msd ignition in my car as well

Do you have wire holders to direct the path of the wires?

1. You can remove the ends (distro side) and cut the wires to the size that you want/need.
2. The ends that go into plugs bend a little don't they? You should be able to bend them away from your headers.

No need to buy new wires, you can shorten the ones you have on your own. Check youtube for spark plug wire shortening, its pretty easy.
