Default Rebuilt Power Control Valve - Now Problems

I rebuilt my power steering control valve because it had a serious leak at one of the zerks. No leaks but kind of intermitently not getting full power steering on slow speed. Primarily parking lot speeds. Seems okay at higher rpms. Started mostly when turning to left - now does in either direction. I used Type F fluid when replacing. Power steering pump is fairly new. Was not doing this prior to rebuilding control valve. Any suggestions? Thanks

Maybe a gasket/o-ring was bad or it didn't sit right?

I'll double check the belt but seemed tight last time I looked.

I dont know if theres a way to check the pump, but it's possible I guess. Take it all apart and start inspecting parts for defects. Pumps don't fail too easily, so my guess is control valve or ram. Did you connect the short hoses on the ram correctly? I think thats a common mistake too.

I bought another pump for 50 dollars at autozone - will try that and if still a problem will return and keep ccecking. Could be right on shorter hoses to control valve but I though if you mixed those up steering becaomes some erractic and can jerk around.

That's true...I guess we'll see if the pump was the issue.
