Default Father son 66 vert project.

So my father an I are restoring a 66 convertible. We are going with the fuel injected 5 speed combo in it and making it look like a gt350. One thing that we are having a disagreement on is whether or not we should put the bench seat in it. I say yes he says no. What do y'all think?

Bench seat as in front I assume? If so I always liked the buckets.. even aftermartket ones in a classic mustang, it just gives it.. that badass look.. now as for a vert.. eh.. depends on where you live. how often you'll have the top down.. ect my vote is go with buckets for sure if replacing with stock ones not so sure on aftermarket for a vert however!

I also say bucket seats. Enjoy your time with your Dad and the car. You will be building memories as well as a cool car...

I would vote for buckets. But who cares? I mean, you're building a car with your old man. How lucky are you? I'm fortunate to work with my Dad nearly everyday of my life, so few people can understand what it's like to undertake a project with their father. Enjoy.

Thanks for all the response. I have to say though I'm not really a kid I'm 24 engaged ex-professional athlete haha. But I think the bench seat would look good in the front because you never see them. I will have to keep this post updated as long as I'm up here working on the car with him. So far we have sanded the whole body down to metal and primed te engine compartment. Our goal is to have the whole car painted in about a week and a half. Once the car is finished we are going to sell it so he can complete his gem which is a 67 gt fastback with the 390 big boy engine. This is just the father son project that we ha e never had. So if anyone is gonna be in the market for a nice classic convertible with a fuel injected 5speed combo keep us in mind. I will have all tw pictures to document the build of the car. But keep the opinions coming.

Hi,
My vote is for the buckets, since you're build a GT350 Tribute. Otherwise, I keep the bench, as it's a rarity. Happy Trails...
