Hi all!
I am gettin close to finishin the 4 barrel conversion. Today I put on the chrome valve covers. Semi-gloss black engine and chrome. WOW!!! I should be able to start it next weekend. I hope.

Are you emulating the K code or C code?

Looks like an A code. SOmeone emulated the K code on my dads car. Even the distributor was a K code dizzy.

That engine looks nice and clean! I like the black. In the summer im gonna pull my engine and paint it. Oh yeah my engine is a c code.

I think if is done with factory parts it woud be impossible to tell the difference. I am trying to keep it stock as possible. I got my intake and carb off of ebay. I think the heads were different but from the outside it is mostly 4V carb and a chrome dress up kit.

Hi Walt,

What I failed to mention about the concours show is that I fell in love with a '42 Packard Darrin Victoria convertible. everything else was just another car.

Looks pretty darned good to me. Are you going to use a yellow top coil and Gates hoses as well?

Also did you remove the chrome from the mating surface of the thermostat housing? Reason I ask is that I've seen a few leaks from that point. Layed a piece of 150 grit paper on a flat table and removed the chrome. No more leaks after that. A disc/belt sander would be really nice.
