I can just remove the chrome from anything like a thermostat housing face with a sander, and then it will look nice and there will be no leaks?Sweet my engine needs as much chrome as it can get. It has way too much blue!

Case and point:
GOOD: (and very stock)

A little too much chrome:

Way too much chrome: (im not even sure what car this is)

Mine:

Lesson: dont rice out your car. There is a thing as having too much chrome.
Whoa not that much chrome. Maybe ill just get polished stuff.I guess i didnt mean as much chrome as i can I want just want like a chrome alternator and brackets. The thermostat housing might look bad coming off of a aluminum manifold. I guess what im saying is that my enigne has nothing at all its just blue. when i pull the engine this summer im gonna sand the engine compartment and paint it flat black. Next ill clean my engine up and paint it black like it is supposed to be. Nualln you have a very nice looking engine.
Make sure if you get a cast iron thermostat housing that you paint it. Mine looked good when I first put it on, but now it looks like sh**. Paint it a good satin black or silver.
do you know of a good paint stripper for this engine paint because it is some tough stuff.
heres what i want my engine looking like. Except for the monte carlo bar and a few other things.
This guy has an elctric fan in front of his radiator and a flex fan behind it W/ an aluminum radiator. Wow that was random!

Are you trying to paint your engine when it's still in there? Dont worry about it man, just wait till you get it out, get some eastwood stripper and a good wire brush. mask real well and prepare to get messy.
